Our Energywise Lighting division is built on a backbone of R&D and a high level of technical understanding. Our engineers headed by our CEO Andrea Barausse are just short of fanatical in their pursuit of understanding and technological advancement. No product or component is ever taken at face value if it’s being considered by the team, much to the lament of our various suppliers. If it says something on the box or brochure, they’ll want to test how true that is and to what extent. That is bound to happen when they have a state of the art photometric lab in house and at their disposal. And we wouldn’t have it any other way. We call them the ‘mad scientists’ they’d probably call themselves passionate about lighting. All we know is you can rest assured that any product that comes through this division is going to be on the cutting edge of global innovations and tested down to the individual bots, rivets or screws that keep it together.

Key issue: Lighting of entire assembly line providing great lighting on the vertical and horizontal without glare.

SEQUENCE LOGISTICS HILLCREST – SOUTH AFRICA

Key issue: Provide a IP66 light fitting in a large cold room going to -30 degrees Celsius whilst providing both a great vertical and horizontal lighting solution.

BOXER SUPERSTORES NATIONWIDE – SOUTH AFRICA

Key issue: Moving away from Fluorescent to an LED solution that was compatible with the existing P2000 fittings with the same lumen visual properties or better. Great colour rendition and temperature with solid reliability and little to no flicker combined with a great power factor.

JAGUAR UMHLANGA – SOUTH AFRICA

Jaguar wanted high lux levels, varying colour temperatures with a bespoke linear design to display their multi-million rand vehicles. Energywise designed a full solution of both suspended as well as recessed linear LED fittings with customised corners and neat finished. Aspects such as glare, spotting, Lux Levels and colour rendering were all taken into consideration to produce an impressive lighting solution
