Energywise has a long history in the electricity and lighting industry. From award-winning ESCO programs where we developed the largest public-private electricity saving program in South Africa, to our state-of-the-art Photometric Laboratory and ultimately the design and manufacture of our own extensive range of LED luminaires which carry SABS, ISO9001/2015 as well as GMP certification. Together with great minds at Vosloh-Schwabe (Germany) we’ve designed a one-of-a-kind device to protect electrical systems from surges and more importantly over-voltage, which have sadly become so common on the South African electrical grid. Generally less known to the public than surges, and certainly less protected against, overvoltage is the silent killer of electrical circuits. Whilst a surge is typically a single significant event, overvoltage is more akin to a slow cooker taking perhaps days or weeks instead of milliseconds but ultimately causing as much damage.
With the incorporation of our VOLTpro, damage from both of these electrical occurrences can be mitigated at a fraction of the cost of replacing the electrical components they are protecting, be it light fixtures, machinery or appliances.
